3rd Bedroom Addition
Aleks and his crew did an amazing job on our 3rd bedroom addition!
Building onto an almost 100 year old home is no small feat. Aleks worked with our Architect and Engineers to make our dreams come true.
He is tough, thorough and efficient – which is exactly what you need to get a job of this size done correctly, on time and on budget. Of course there are always a few delays & project changes…inspections, engineer requests, etc…but Aleks managed through everything and the end result is a bright, spacious and solid addition to our home.
We would hire Aleks again in a heartbeat!

Porch and Ramp
Alex did a fantastic job building a new deck and ramp in our garage. The experience was great from the start to the end where he even cleaned up and removed all the garage before leaving. We are very satisfied with the workmanship and the quality.

Rebuild of front house entrance room
Aleks refurbished an 8X10 front entrance outer room, which is a front extension to our house (the original build had water leakage issues). Although the room is small multiple issues had to be addressed/added/repaired – eg – new electrical wiring, new roof, new drywall, exterior stucco, painting, new granite floor, new high security door. Aleks put the whole plan together and did the above, also bringing in his team of subcontractors for the specialty work. We are very happy with the final outcome, it looks great and is solidly built. His timing was great, letting us know when he will be doing the work (accurate within 1-2 weeks), and once he started the project, he was on site full time every day until the project was done. His pricing was reasonable and fair. He regularly consulted with us throughout the project about our input of the layout, materials, colours, etc. He and his team were a pleasure to work with. Clean-up was excellent.

Load Bearing Wall 1927 T.O. Home
Aleks removed my old wooden load bearing walls from a 1927 T.O. house and replaced it with one very heavy metal I beam.(30′) in order to have a flush ceiling finished.
He suggested other ways that would be quicker and more affordable but at the end we went with the metal beam.
He was a very easily person to work with and his knowledge, punctuality about the job gave us confidence in his skills and worked along with our P. Engineer.
We felt very comfortable about the job that he recommended his cousin for underpinning which we are currently in the process of the digging.

Front Porch Rebuild
Aleks demolished and rebuilt our front porch on time and on budget. We are very happy with how it came out and found him to be very easy to work with. He was reliable, punctual and courteous in his dealings with us. We have no complaints and would hire him again without hesitation.

Porcelain Tile Flooring
We feel extremely lucky to have found Aleks on Trusted Pros. He did an amazing job installing a porcelain tile floor in our home and undoing the damage left behind by a group of shoddy contractors that we hired just a year earlier.
Aleks was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to answer all of our questions and explain in detail the work that he would perform. His laid-back nature made communication very easy.
We would recommend Aleks to anyone and we are already considering him for future renovation projects.

Shower Renovation

Installation of Bathroom Fan and Venting
This is the first time I’ve posted a project on trustedpros.ca and I’m so glad I did! Aleks was an absolute pleasure to work with and extremely and knowledgeable. His prices were fair and you can tell he takes great pride in his workmanship.
What was also great about working with Aleks was that, despite calling him numerous times with questions about the project, he was always very patient with me and thorough with his answers.
On the day of the job, he arrived on time and was friendly and professional. The final product definitely exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Aleks to anyone!

Bunch of Work Around the House
Aleks did a number of various jobs around my house:
1) Ceiling in the kitchen (drywalling, taping)
2) Redoing the parquet floors on second floor (buffing, staining, putting 2 coats of urethane)
3) Cornering newly-run air ducts
4) Installing a dishwasher
5) Putting in laminate floors on the first floor (picture attached)
What I liked about working with Aleks:
– Aleks was very punctual. The work was done exactly on the day(s) he said it would be done.
– He was reasonably priced.
– He worked around my needs. The air ducts in the kitchen were placed slightly incorrectly by the duct company, but Aleks managed to make the corners level with the adjacent wall, which was great, as the kitchen space is too valuable to waste.
– His partner Bibi who buffed parquet floors for us exceeded my expectations. Our parquet was covered in very deep scratches, and I kept hearing it was impossible to remove them. After Bibi was done I couldn’t find a one.
The were a couple of small hiccups, but nothing I cannot live with.
– For the kitchen ceiling, we had to patch a narrow opening between one of the walls and the ceiling.
– After buffing, a layer of fine sowing dust remained on the upper surfaces like shelves and door frames. I had to apply a combined effort of the dust mop, duster and a vacuum cleaner to clean it out.
However, these hiccups are small in comparison to the benefits of having Aleks to handle all those tricky jobs.
Overall, I am very glad I have found Aleks, and I will be recommending him to friends and family.
